Vinewood Roleplay in a nutshell

Vinewood Roleplay is a Spanish-language roleplay server for GTA V, built on FiveM. Every player plays a character with their own story, job and choices, and the city moves forward based on what its residents do.

It is a serious, text-based roleplay server: players are expected to stay consistent and respect other people's stories, without shutting the door on newcomers. The city has a custom map, a controlled economy where every achievement costs what it should, and whitelist access so everyone shares the same roleplay basics.

The city and roleplay

What is Vinewood Roleplay?

Vinewood Roleplay is a serious Spanish-language GTA V roleplay server running on FiveM. Instead of playing missions or competitive matches, each player creates a character and plays them in a shared city, with a job, relationships, goals and consequences.

Access is by whitelist, roleplay is text-based, and the city has a custom map and a controlled economy, designed so progress feels earned.

What makes the city different?

Vinewood has a custom map, designed to offer a different experience from other servers. It is not just the usual Los Santos: the city was prepared so that exploring it and living in it feels unique to Vinewood.

A map of its own also gives roleplay an identity: places, neighborhoods and meeting points become part of the stories built on the server.

How serious is the roleplay? Can I join as a beginner?

Roleplay is serious: you are expected to play your character consistently and respect other people's roleplay. Even so, the server always leaves room for new players.

The idea is that people with little experience can adapt, learn and, if they want, raise their roleplay level over time. You don't need to be an expert to start, just willing to learn and to roleplay seriously.

Economy and jobs

What is the economy like?

Vinewood's economy is controlled and logical. Money doesn't come easy: buying a vehicle or a property, or opening a business, takes work and good decisions, not just a day.

At the same time, it isn't so hard that the experience becomes frustrating. The goal is a balance where progress means something and the city stays enjoyable for everyone.

Are there starter jobs?

Yes. There are starter jobs meant for your first days in the city. They help you build up purchasing power and learn how Vinewood works.

Over time, each player can improve their roleplay and aim for other paths: a legal faction, a business or an illegal organization.

Factions

Which legal factions are there?

The legal factions are the police and the Fire Department. The police keep order and security in the city; the Fire Department handles paramedics and emergencies of that kind.

Joining a legal faction is a kind of roleplay built on responsibility and teamwork within the city.

Are there illegal organizations?

Yes. In Vinewood they aren't called gangs but illegal organizations. They are the counterpart to legal roleplay and give the city tension and depth.

Like everything on the server, illegal roleplay is serious too: it is built on story, consistency and consequences.

Can I own a business?

Yes. Businesses are part of city life, alongside legal factions and illegal organizations. They're another way to roleplay: starting something, serving other players and growing something of your own in Vinewood.

Staff and launch

How does the staff work?

The staff acts as general support for players and is organized into several divisions, each in charge of one aspect of the server.

That way each area has people dedicated to it, and questions or problems reach the right person. For any question, the place to go is the official Discord.

When does the server open?

Vinewood is in its testing phase, opening soon. The date is not set yet and will be announced on the official Discord.

Roleplay concepts

What is roleplay in GTA V?

Roleplay (RP) in GTA V is a way of playing where each person plays a character in a shared city. Instead of following missions, players create stories together: they work, run businesses, commit crimes, investigate them or simply live in the city.

It is played on dedicated servers, like Vinewood, with their own rules, economy and systems so those stories make sense.

What does serious RP mean?

A serious RP server (in Spanish, "rol serio" or "rol pesado") aims for realistic, consistent roleplay. Characters act as a real person would in that world, their actions have consequences and everyone respects other people's roleplay.

It's the opposite of playing without rules: the experience is built together, which is why these servers usually require a certification or whitelist to join.

What is text-based roleplay?

In text-based roleplay, characters are played through text: players describe what their character does, says and perceives in the chat instead of speaking into a microphone.

It allows more detailed roleplay and careful storytelling, and keeps every scene clear for everyone involved. Vinewood is a text-based roleplay server.

What is a whitelist and why is it used?

A whitelist is a list of players allowed to join the server. To get on it you go through a process first; in Vinewood, that means passing a 30-question roleplay certification.

It makes sure everyone who joins knows the roleplay basics, so the experience is better for the community. The steps are in how to join Vinewood.

What is FiveM?

FiveM is a platform for playing GTA V on custom servers, with their own maps, systems and rules. It powers most GTA V roleplay servers, including Vinewood.

To play you need GTA V Legacy for PC with FiveM installed.

No questions match those words. Try another search or ask on Discord.
